What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is an ancient form of healing which involves the insertion of needles into the body in order to release blockages in the flow of energy which, according to Traditional Chinese Medicine, causes illness and pain.

The needles used in acupuncture are unlike needles used in injections, they are much finer and are not hollow.

Each patient is treated as an individual and your treatment will involve a full consultation, including the taking of information in relation to your full medical history and other aspects of your health and lifestyle, and an assessment using the traditional methods of tongue and pulse diagnosis and, if required, the palpation of various points on the body.

Acupuncture will treat the whole person and not just the symptom, to enable the body to rebalance.
